Oleoresin capsicum: (3.0- 8.0 % capsaicin w/w) obtained from the longer, moderately pungent Capsicum used in the production of red pepper. Commercial red pepper oleoresins are mainly used as a spice supplied in pungency ratings between 80 000 and 500 000 Scoville units. In the market place practice has shown that 1 kg of 200 000 Scoville units oleoresin replaces 10 kg of good quality red pepper.

95% Capsaicin Using Supercritical CO2 Extraction

Paprika extract: (equivalent to 10.8% total carotenoids) obtained from varieties of C. annuum from which paprika powder is produced. It has a high colour value, but little or no pungency. Commercial paprika oleoresin is available in different colour strengths up to 150 000 colour units. In the market place practice has shown that 1 kg of paprika extract replaces 12-15 kg of paprika powder with respect to colour intensity.

 After obtaining 6-8% oleoresin, the intention is to further enrich it upto 95% capsaicin using supercritical CO2 extraction.

Extractor:

The material is 304SS. and the whole forging. Forging technology is level Ⅳ. The extractor has water jacket and insulation layer. Relief valve is at the export of the extractor. And at the import and export of the column has pressure and temperature testing point to keep the temperature and pressure are in the scope of the process parameters. At the import of the pipe of CO2 process has pressure display and temperature sensor. The temperature of extractor is 70℃.

SeparatorⅠ

Design pressure:20MPa. Working pressure:18MPa. Design temperature: room

temperature -70℃.

Volume:800L.

Material is 304SS and the whole forging. Forging technology is level

Ⅳ.With water jacket and insulation layer. At the export of the separator equipped the relief valve and the empty valve and the pressure gauge.With a system at the import to realize tangential inlet.

And with the temperature testing point at the import to control the temperature of the CO2 automatically.

Separator ⅡⅢ

Design pressure:12MPa. Working pressure:11MPa. Design temperature: room temperature -70℃.

Volume:500L.

Material is 304SS and the whole forging. Forging technology is level

Ⅳ.With water jacket and insulation layer. At the export of the separator equipped the relief valve and the empty valve and the pressure gauge.With a system at the import to realize tangential inlet. And with the temperature testing point at the import to control the temperature of the CO2 automatically.

Design temperature:5-55℃.

Material is 304SS.With liquid level apparatus and empty valve and relief valve and pressure gauge and temperature sensor and CO2 import and export.With water jacket and insulation layer to keep the temperature of CO2 is temperature of the liquid phase.
